Fiberglass gratings is a new type of synthetic material with the advantages of lightweight, high strength and corrosion resistance. The production process is roughly divided into the following steps:

 1. Raw material preparation

The main raw materials include resin, glass fiber, curing agent, etc. Ordinary resins can use unsaturated polyester resin, and glass fiber can be continuous fiber or cutting fiber.

 2. Mold preparation

Select the appropriate mold. The size and shape of the mold will determine the final specifications of the FRP gratings. The mold needs surface treatment to ensure smoothness and easy demoulding.

 3. Resin modulation

Modify the resin as needed and add an appropriate amount of curing agent and promoter to ensure that the resin can cure quickly and have good strength and toughness.

 4. Fiberglass laying

The glass fiber is laid in the mold in a certain proportion and way. Common methods include manual paving and mechanical paving.

 5. Pouring resin

To pour the modulated resin on the glass fiber in the mold, it is necessary to ensure that the resin can evenly cover the glass fiber.

 6. Solidify

Place the mold at room temperature or in a heated environment for curing. This step usually takes hours to days, depending on the characteristics of the resin and curing agent used.

 7. Unmodeling

After the resin is completely cured, remove the fiberglass gratings from the mold. Demoulding requires careful operation to prevent gratings damage.

 8. Repair and maintain

Edge trimming and surface treatment of the demoulded FRP gratings to remove burrs and irregular parts to ensure that the edges are smooth and neat.

 9. Test

Carry out quality inspection of the finished product to check whether there are bubbles, cracks and other defects to ensure that the quality of the product meets the standards.

 10. Finished product packaging

Qualified finished products are packaged according to specifications and requirements for shipment.

These steps can be adjusted according to actual requirements and processes, but the general process usually includes the above steps. Because of its superior performance, FRP gratingss are widely used in chemical plants, water treatment plants, platform aisles and other fields.
